Organisation of the procurement
Procurement rules were discussed at the first annual conference (12 March 2004) of people responsible for environmental issues within the Prostestant Church. The meeting was organised together with the “Umweltimpulstag” (13 March 2004), the regular meeting of people within the Church congregation who are dealing with environmental issues. Main topics were among others green electricity and electricity saving.
Measures
- Binding ecological criteria in the construction law of the Protestant Church (ecological aspects have to be considered in any building projects)
- Green power has to be given priority
Success
The annual meetings of the persons responsible for environmental issues allows monitoring of what was achieved and motivates people to further implement for example energy efficiency measurs.
