B.&S.U. Beratungs- und Service-Gesellschaft Umwelt mbH is a limited liability company whose main task is to initiate and implement projects and provides consulting in the fields of energy and environment, urban and regional planning, social management and entrepreneurship for a range of governmental and private actors. B.&S.U. mbH was founded in 1991 upon an initiative of the Senate of Berlin. From 1998 to 2002, B.&S.U. mbH was a member of the Berlin Water Service Group. In December 2002, the company became an independently operating company by way of a management buy-out.

B.&S.U. mbH has been active since 1991 on a local, regional, national and international level in programmes and projects concerning environmental actions and the promotion of activities for the adoption of the rational use of energy and the securing of energy supplies for the future. The company has thirty-two employees and can provide a broad knowledge base in the fields of environmental technology and science, process and industrial engineering, management systems, training and public relation which, coupled with their long-standing experience in overall project management, ensures the successful implementation of any project undertaken.

B.&S.U. mbH actively promotes existing environmental and energy networks such as FEDARENE (the European Network of Environmental and Energy Agencies), the Sustainable Cities and Towns Campaign and the European Urban Observatory.
